Field Trips to the Four Arts
The Society of the Four Arts is pleased to offer free field trip opportunities to area schools and home school groups. The Four Arts Children’s Library offers programs and activities that can be customized for your school and grade level. District funded transportation may be provided by The School District of Palm Beach County, Florida. Inquire with your school administrator/bookkeeper.

Jim Gamble’s Puppet Productions: "Carnival of the Animals"
The Four Arts Children’s Library presents “Carnival of the Animals,” a rod poppet production presented in the innovative “curtain of light” theater format. This delightful musical program is based on the classical work of French composer, Charles Camille Saint-Saens. This production shows the composer as a young boy creating his carnival menagerie from his imagination.
Curriculum Connections: Music, Theater, Visual Arts, Social Studies, and Language Arts
Approved for grades K-4.
Note: Required arrival and departure times for groups are included in the “Carnival of the Animals” teacher’s manual and student guide. There are no facilities available for lunch on this day.

Jim Gamble’s Puppet Productions: "Peter & the Wolf"
The Four Arts Children’s Library presents “Peter & the Wolf,” a rod puppet production in the innovative “curtain of light” theater format, and based on the classical music of Prokofiev. This traditional story of the boy who outfoxes the wolf is updated with wonderful contemporary humor. Many characters are both animals and musical instruments, introducing many students to the instruments for the first time.

Approved for grades K-4.

Florida's Wetlands - Currently accepting reservations
Exhibit on display in the Mary Alice Fortin Children’s Art Gallery through June 2013
Featuring more than fifty images and accompanying educational materials, this exhibition familiarizes students with the important role that wetlands play in our daily lives. Visits can be scheduled with the Children’s Library through the school year; call the Children’s Library for availability. Age appropriate Story Times and crafts can be included with your field trip visit. Click here to learn more about the exhibit.
