Conrad Black is a financier, author, and columnist who owned and published a large network of newspapers in Canada and abroad between 1969 and 2004. He is a columnist for the National Post (a newspaper he launched) and the author of biographies of Maurice Duplessis, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Richard M. Nixon, a strategic history of the United States (Flight of the Eagle), and Rise to Greatness, the History of Canada from the Vikings to the Present. His most recent titles are Donald J. Trump: A President Like No Other and The Canadian Manifesto. Lord Black joined the British House of Lords in 2001 with the title Baron Black of Crossharbour.
