Our new director of education will be presenting experts from the world of photography. Distinguished curator Alison Nordstrom, artist Karen Knorr and gallerist James Danzinger will each join Sofia in entertaining and illustrated conversations, sharing their insider’s view of the medium of the moment: photography.

We conclude our series with a field trip to the Bunker Artspace to view modern and contemporary art works from Beth Rudin DeWoody’s renowned collection.

Sofia Vollmer Maduro, a Cambridge University scholar, is a curator, lecturer and mentor to emerging artists. Throughout her career, she has advised collections, juried art prizes, curated exhibitions and contributed to art publications. She is a founding member of the Curatorial Committee of the PhotoLondon art fair. Sofia has led workshops and field trips at the Society of the Four Arts, and this season has been appointed director of education.

Due to limited space, reservations are required for every program. 

Please note, no refunds for lectures are permitted. Exchanges or transfers for a lecture of equal value within a season are permitted on a case-by-case basis.
