Field Trip to Jonathan Dickinson State Park

Explore the federally designated “Wild and Scenic” Loxahatchee River by taking a two-hour narrated boat trip on the Loxahatchee Queen II up a fork in the river – through cypress swamps, freshwater marshes, hardwood hammocks and mangroves – to Trapper Nelson’s camp, followed by lunch and a visit to DuBois Pioneer Home built on an ancient Indian shell mound.

Participants should check in at the Dixon Education Building 15 minutes prior to bus departure.
