The Political Argument Today

The Samuel J. Heyman Memorial Lecture

Of George F. Will it was once said that he is “perhaps the most powerful journalist in America,” (1986). CNN praised him as “the center of American intellectualism”. He was formidably educated, with a Fulbright at Oxford University and a Princeton Ph.D. and has taught political philosophy at top American universities. He was editor of the National Review from 1973 through 1976, and his newspaper column has been syndicated by The Washington Post since 1974, appearing twice weekly in newspapers across 47 states and four countries. In 1977 he won a Pulitzer Prize for his commentary. A prolific author, his latest publication is The Conservative Sensibility (2020).
