Impressionist painter and printmaker Mary Cassatt (1844-1926) was a tireless advocate for collecting and exhibiting fine art, working with individual and museum collectors to acquire masterpieces. Laura D. Corey is Senior Research Associate at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she is part of the curatorial team preparing the major exhibition “Making the Met, 1870-2020” to anchor the Museum’s 150th anniversary celebration.
