a Conversation with Henry Kaufman
Thursday, February 28, 2019, 2:30PM
Dixon Education Building

In conversation with Four Arts President, Dr David Breneman, Dr. Kaufman will discuss the financial and economic arenas he helped shape for half a century. Gain valuable insight into questions such as why the Federal Reserve has so much power, what this means for investors, and what patterns we can see in the financial crises that have rocked Wall Street and world markets. Few experts have Dr. Kaufman’s perspective and experience.

Henry Kaufman was a key Wall Street figure in the 70s and 80s. His projections about interest rates, bonds, unemployment, and government debt impacted monetary policy in more than one presidential administration, and prompted swings in the markets.

In addition to being the president of The Society of the Four Arts, Dr. David Breneman is professor emeritus in Economics of Education and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.
