Study the birth of science and learn about leading figures in the arts such as composers Bach and Handel, artists including Gainsborough and Mme. Vigée-Lebrun, and the first novelists. History’s changing movements, such as those leading to the French Revolution, will underlie the sessions.

Juliette de Marcellus is a pianist, prize-winning music critic and lecturer. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music in London and with professor Leonie Gombrich at Oxford.
