From cubism and futurism to dada, surrealism, constructivism, found objects to multi-media, and installations, the Avant garde set the stage for most of today’s methods of expression. Accompany an audacious, relatively small group of artists united to form an agenda of visual-philosophical experimentation that knew no borders, an openness that fed new considerations of expression. Alexander Shundi holds a B.F.A. and an M.F.A. from Yale University and has more than 50 years of teaching and creating art.
