Author Ana Sofia Peláez will discuss the origin and history of Cuban food, most of which she discovered while traveling to New York, Miami, and Cuba. Peláez covers the spectrum of Spanish and Latin American cuisine on her blog hungrysofia.com. The site has been featured by InStyle magazine, Food 52, and was nominated by Saveur as one of the Best Regional Cuisine blogs of 2012. Her work has appeared in Smithsonian Journeys magazine and NBCNews.com, among other national outlets. Her book, “The Cuban Table,” was nominated for a James Beard Award in 2015.
