In 2018, art lovers celebrated the 500th birthday of painter Jacopo Tintoretto with a series of major exhibitions and initiatives in the artist’s hometown of Venice. Go behind the scenes with curator Frederick Ilchman and learn how a 16th-century painter was successfully presented to a 21st-century audience.
Frederick Ilchman is the Chair for Art of Europe at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, he received his B.A. in art history from Princeton University and his Ph.D. from Columbia University. He is the National Chairman of Save Venice, Inc.
