Part I – 11 a.m. Masterpieces of the Shchukin Collection
Sergei Ivanovich Shchukin collected 258 paintings from such greats as Monet, Degas, Matisse, and Picasso. Learn more about some of the greatest treasures ever produced by French culture, many unknown to most Americans.

Part II – 2:30 p.m. Weird In Europe
Inspired by the changing political landscape and societal challenges, emerging European artists are showing their ingenuity in weird, powerful creative work.

Michel Witmer is a leading art historian, collector, connoisseur, author, and lecturer. He has guided and lectured in most of the world’s major art repositories, particularly the Louvre in Paris, Christie’s, and the Tate Gallery in London. Witmer is a leading researcher and consultant for private art collections, including the Queen’s Collection at Buckingham Palace, and he is the only American member on the board of TEFAF.

No charge for Four Arts Members

Due to limited space, reservations are required for every program. Four Arts members must make reservations to programs, even if they are admitted at no charge.

Please note, no refunds for lectures are permitted. Exchanges or transfers for a lecture of equal value within a season are permitted on a case-by-case basis.
