Carl Fredricksen (voiced by Ed Asner) is an irascible old codger determined to travel to South America by tying helium balloons to his house. The only kink in his plan is the 8-year-old stowed away on his front porch. Despite their differences, the unlikely pair make a perfect team when it comes to taking on the dangers of the wilderness.
