The Gioconda and Joseph King Library
The Society’s original building, designed in 1936 by architect Maurice Fatio, now houses The Gioconda and Joseph King Library. The Library contains more than 75,000 books, periodicals, videotapes, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks, and serves as the library for the Town of Palm Beach. The library  is open to all visitors without charge; borrowing privileges may be obtained for a small annual membership fee. Throughout the season, the King Library offers personalized book recommendations, technology assistance, WiFi availability, book discussion groups and access to a variety of daily newspapers and magazines. Easy access to the sculpture and themed gardens is available during business hours.

King Library Hours 

  • Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. (November through April)
  • Closed Sundays and Holidays
