The King Library will be closed from at least October 13th through October 27th as we move more than 70,000 items into the newly restored building. We ask that you keep all materials during this time. If materials must be returned, they need to be placed in the book drop located in the Rovensky parking lot. No reserved titles will be held during this time. Library programs will take place in the Dixon Education building through December.
We appreciate your understanding during this process, and if you have any questions please email Kinglibrary@fourarts.org.
Please join us for the King Library Grand Opening celebration on December 13th at 11 a.m.
The Society’s original building, designed in 1936 by architect Maurice Fatio, now houses The Gioconda and Joseph King Library. The Library, which contains more than 75,000 books, periodicals, videotapes, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks, serves as the library for the Town of Palm Beach. The library is open to all visitors without charge; borrowing privileges may be obtained for a small annual membership fee. Throughout the season, the King Library offers a number of services, including test proctoring, personalized book recommendations, and technology assistance; and also hosts book discussion groups, which are free and open to the public. The King Library restoration project has begun. The library is located in its temporary location in the Rovensky Building. Please click here for more info.
