This exciting exhibition showcases 60 original ink and watercolor drawings world-renowned illustrator Ronald Searle created for the children’s books Beast Friends Forever! Animal Lovers in Rhyme, Let’s Have a Bite! A Banquet of Beastly Rhymes, and Beastly Feasts! A Mischievous Menageries in Rhyme, all written by local resident Robert L. Forbes. In his books, Forbes writes about the adventures of a whole kingdom of animals from elephants and seagulls to peacocks and raccoons through whimsical poems. Illustrating Words pairs Forbes’ playful rhymes with Searle’s zany illustrations and their combined magic will keep readers seven to seventy coming back again and again!
